North Dakota Hands & Voices is so proud to announce we have been approved to start a Guide By Your Side program.  This is a program created by Hands & Voices Headquarters that trains experienced parents of children with hearing loss to support parents of newly diagnosed children.  The trained Parent Guides will:

1. Provide parents with the opportunity to establish a supportive relationship with another parent of a child who is deaf or hard of hearing
   
2. Provide parents with unbiased information regarding communication options for their child
   
3. Provide parents with an understanding of the unique needs of infants who are deaf/hard of hearing
   
4. Link parents to resources available locally, regionally and statewide.
